road to starting a business

the old has been restored and refurbished, today we look forward to the antiques and historical items from the past. the great Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Our admiration of the antique is not admiration of the old, but of the natural.". my proposal is to start a small business which deals with delivering antiques, vintage interior design, custom made antique display cases, and the list goes on. I've always wanted to own my own business and sell a product for people who aren't looking forward to the new ideas and who sticks with the past. I'm looking to find what would it look like starting a business and setting up with delivering services with the website. The questions am looking to have the answer to at the end of this project are, what would be a good place (state)  to set up a store, Is there a certain area where my product would be in high demand . what would be the cost of a store, start up merchandise and to set up a website whose connected to delivery service and what would be the cash inflow/ cash outflow and finally annual net cash.
the research needed for my project is a couple different areas, such as delivering service such as ups, FedEx, or even postal, and the cost a store from rent/buy, and the different areas where such merchandise would be valued, such as a rural area instead of being in the middle of a city, the type of consumers who would rather live with antiques/ vintage décor. the background I would like to understand for my project would be what would it look like to establish an entire inventory of antique to vintage accessories from rugs, furniture, lighting, drapes, art, décor, interior and exterior. id would have to spend the first few years collecting and buying from antique dealers and auctions, establishing an entire inventory to sell. what have other people done to start up a business in antiques.
the information I use and need for this is there are magazines to buy and in the magazines there are advertisement for small to large local business selling or specializing in antiques, my book I use to guide my learning when I don't understand the business part of it is " the small business, owners manual" by Bryan Catley. there is a local antiques dealer website where you can ask questions or meet up with them but cant talk about unsoliciting service's.
at the end of my research am hoping to show the road to understanding what to start a business, weather its in the field am interested in or any other field, im hoping to show what I did to understanding the basic of what I want to do.
my product would be the steps one would take to establish a business or the steps to connect a delivering service to a website. my topic viable because at the beginning of this project I didn't know the first thing about "my dream" but at then end I'm hoping to know exactly what to do to when I get out of schooling.
